From back of print: U.S. Naval Air Station, Honolulu, Hawaii - Warrant Officer E.B. Ercanbrack, U.S. Marine Corps shows two Women Accepted for Voluntary Military Service (WAVES) the sword, which was surrendered to him by the commander of the Japanese prison camp where he was held. The sword is 300 years old. Left to right: Ruth LeDue, storekeeper second class; Ercanbrack; and June Read, yeoman second class. Ercanbrack was one of the 19 Navy and Marine RAMPs (Recovered Allied Military Personnel) who arrived here.
