Dr. Grace's planned itinerary called for him to be in Honiara from August 29 through September 13, 1955. He also spent roughly two weeks in the Western Solomon Islands, mainly at the Methodist Mission station in Munda (New Georgia Island) and on Banga Island. This image is one of a number he shot while traveling back and forth between Gizo and Roviana. The sequence of slides from number 242 through 256 all were shot on the return trip from Roviana to Gizo.
